Create a report
Creating reports is simple and gives you total control over how you analyze your data. You can now access expanded booking insights, including forward-looking volume, and use the report preview to verify your configuration before running the final version.
How to create a new report
From your Account page, navigate to Reports.
Click + Create new at the top right.
Choose your report creation path:
Note: Reports cannot be created entirely from scratch because our data model segments data by domain (e.g., Bookings, Availability, or Messaging). Instead, you will choose between two distinct paths:
From a Template: Start with a pre-defined report, hand-crafted and recommended by us. These have pre-configured metrics, dimensions, and filters designed to answer common questions. You can easily make tweaks after selecting a template.
Build your own: Select a specific data domain but no pre-selected metrics or filters. This keeps the data in your custom report accurate by making sure related data is linked together.
Filling out report fields
Fill out the required input fields to customise your data:
Name (Required): Give your report a name so you can locate it later. This name will show up in your report file name.
Date Range (Required): Select your desired time range or create a custom date range.
Locations (Required): Selecting All locations runs the report against all locations you have access to. Choose Selected locations to choose specific locations.
Levels of Detail (Required): Select the level of detail you would like the report broken down by (e.g., by day, by location, etc.). For more details, see our Levels of detail guide and glossary.
Metrics (Required): Select the numbers you want to include. We have added Metric definition texts and clearer data labels to help you understand exactly what each metric represents as you build.
Note: Internal booking reports, including forward-looking visibility into future booking volume, are now available here.
Filters (Optional): If there are specific levels of detail you want to exclude, you can create filters. Each requires the field name, the operation (e.g. equals, does not equal), and the value.
Report Preview: You can preview your report configuration without re-running the data, reducing friction as you refine your setup.
Advanced selections
The advanced selections are already configured for common use cases, but can be adjusted:
Remove blank rows: Check this box to automatically remove rows that contain only 0s.
Start of week: Configure the start of the week if it is not Sunday.
Start of year: Configure the start-of-year month if it is not January.
Email to: Add email addresses to be notified when the report is completed. This is highly recommended if you are scheduling a report.
Running and downloading
Once all fields are filled, click Run report at the top right.
You will be redirected to the Report History tab. Wait for the report status to say “Completed”, then click Download on the right side of the list to export a CSV file of your report.
Note: To ensure performance and reliability, reports operate within defined system limits:
Maximum filters per report: 25
Maximum email recipients: 10
Maximum locations per report: 10,000
Dimension limits: These are enforced to maintain report performance.
