If you’re trying to create a new Waitwhile account using a personal Gmail address (e.g., example@gmail.com), you may notice that sign-up isn’t available. This is intentional and part of how we ensure Waitwhile works best for the businesses we serve.
Why we no longer allow Gmail sign-ups:
Designed for businesses: Waitwhile is built to help businesses manage queues, bookings, and customer flow. By requiring a business email, we can better support organizations that are set up to make the most of the platform.
Reduce duplicate or test accounts: Many Gmail addresses can be created quickly and used to spin up multiple trial accounts. This change helps us keep Waitwhile clean and focused.
Better customer experience: With verified business emails, we can provide more tailored onboarding, resources, and support to set your team up for success.
What if I already use Gmail with Waitwhile?
No need to worry — existing customers with Gmail accounts are not affected. You’ll continue to have full access to your account.
This update only applies to new sign-ups going forward.
What should I do if I don’t have a business email?
If you don’t have a business email address today, we recommend setting one up through your domain provider (e.g., using yourname@yourcompany.com
). This not only allows you to sign up for Waitwhile, but also helps your business appear more professional to customers.
