Registration refers to the process by which a customer provides their details and joins a queue, books an appointment, or signs up for a service. The registration process allows businesses to gather essential information about each customer—such as name, contact information, and service needs—which is then used to manage their place in line, send notifications, and track their experience.

Waitwhile also offers advance registration methods including the ability to register through text-to-join and Google maps.
Google Maps is limited to restaurants & cafes
3. Pick the registration type
Choose the type of registration that is publicly allowed.
Only bookings: Display only the booking scheduling tool. Can be used for businesses that only offer appointments or require waitlisting onsite by a staff member.
Only waitlist: Display only the waitlist registration. Can be used for businesses that do not offer appointments.
Bookings and waitlist: Display both the waitlist & booking experience.
None: Used if you require all registrations to occur with the help from a staff member
4. Configure additional registration display details
Customer ticket ID: Assign a ticket ID to each customer visit. This is commonly used for businesses that want to display a waitlist in their lobby, but customer privacy is important. Rather than displaying the customers name, you can assign a ticket ID which appears on the display.
Show Welcome page: Allow customers to land on a welcome page before registering. This welcome page can provide useful information to the customer including instructions, options for registering, wait time, and the quantity of people ahead of them in line.
Show waitlist and bookings separated: Display separate "Join waitlist" and "schedule booking" buttons on your Welcome page instead of a combined registration flow
Show in Location directory: Let customers see this location in a centralized, customizable page where businesses with multiple branches, offices, or service queues can list all their locations.
Show Waitwhile branding: By default, Waitwhile branding will be displayed on your public registration pages and customer messages. We offer the ability to remove this branding for our premium Enterprise Plan.
5. Set Captcha bot protection
Waitwhile uses reCAPTCHA to enhance security on registration, booking, and check-in forms by protecting these pages from automated bots and spam entries.
By default, Captcha bot protections is enabled for every location in Waitwhile. However, you do have the ability to increase or decrease the sensitivity levels depending on your business needs.
Reasons to adjust the Captcha sensitivity:
Customers are trying to join your waitlist from the same WiFi or IP address (e.g. at an event or conference)
Customers are using the same browser or device to join your waitlist or schedule bookings (e.g. if you're using a shared Kiosk for registration)
Customers are using a VPN or accessing your Waitwhile pages from countries that are associated with a high level of suspicious spam activity.
