Guide to Sharing Your Waitlist and Appointment Pages in Waitwhile

Learn how to share your public-facing waitlist and appointment pages with customers—and manage internal links securely with your team.

Waitwhile makes it easy to share access to your waitlist and appointment scheduling pages — so customers can join, check their status, or book appointments quickly. You can share links directly, embed them on your website, or use QR codes for walk-ins.

This guide explains the different types of public and internal staff links available in Waitwhile and how to use them.

Public-Facing Links (For Your Customers)

These links are designed for your customers and can be shared through your website, in a text or email, or displayed on a kiosk or tablet.

Customer Actions:

  • Find a Location

  • General registration

  • Join the waitlist

  • Book an appointment

  • View the waitlist

  • Check-in upon arrival

  • Check your status in line

Key Public Links:

  • Location directory (List of locations):
    Found in Avatar Menu > Account Overview > Location Directory
    waitwhile.com/accounts/{your_account_shortname}

  • Location page (General registration):
    waitwhile.com/locations/{your_location_shortname}

  • Waitlist only link:
    waitwhile.com/locations/{your_location_shortname}/waitlist

  • Appointment booking link:
    waitwhile.com/locations/{your_location_shortname}/bookings/add

  • View the Waitlist
    waitwhile.com/locations/{your_location_shortname}/waitlist

  • Check-in upon arrival Link:
    waitwhile.com/locations/{your_location_shortname}/checkin

  • Customer Status Page (auto-generated per visit):
    This is sent via SMS or email and lets each guest view their real-time wait estimate.

Note: To turn on or edit your location’s public-facing page:
Go to Location Settings > Registration > Web

Internal Links (For Your Team Only)

These links are for staff use only and should not be shared with customers. Use them to manage guests, view schedules, or serve customers.

Internal Management Links:

  • Manage all visits:

  • Manage waitlist:

  • Manage bookings:
