Capacity Management in Waitwhile helps you control and optimize the number of customers that can be served at any given time. This ensures that you’re managing your resources effectively and avoiding overcrowding or overwhelming your staff. With flexible settings, you can easily set and adjust capacity limits to suit your business needs.

Benefits of Capacity Management

  • Improved Customer Experience: Avoid long wait times and overcrowding by controlling how many customers can be served at once.

  • Staff Efficiency: Help your team work at a manageable pace, preventing burnout during busy hours.

  • Resource Allocation: Ensure you have enough resources, like staff or space, available to serve the number of customers at any given time.

To start using Capacity Management for your business, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Waitwhile
Use your admin credentials to access your Waitwhile account.

  4. Save Changes
Once your capacity limits are set, click Save to apply the changes to your account. Your Waitwhile system will now automatically prevent your staff from serving any bookings or waitlist entries once the serve capacity is reached.

How staff can use Capacity Management

Your staff plays a crucial role in managing customer flow and ensuring capacity limits are respected. Here's how they can use the Capacity Management:

  1. Allow Customers to enter without registering

    • If you wish to only create a Waitlist once you have reached capacity, allow your staff to use the digital counter to add anonymous customers until capacity is reached.

  2. Monitor the Serving Capacity

    • Staff can view current waitlist or booking levels in real time. The system will automatically prevent new customers from being served once the capacity limit is reached, reducing the need for manual oversight.
