Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a powerful tool that simplifies adding tracking tags, like Google Analytics and Google Ads to your Waitwhile public pages. With GTM, you can manage various tags from a single interface, making it easier to track user interactions and measure performance.

By following a few simple steps, you can fully integrate Google Tag Manager and Google Ads with your Waitwhile account, optimizing your ability to track, measure, and improve user engagement and marketing efforts.

How to connect your Google Tag Manager to Waitwhile

To start using GTM with your Waitwhile account follow these steps:

  1. Access GTM Settings

    • Go to your Waitwhile account’s Settings and navigate to the Integrations section.

    • Locate Google Tag Manager and open the configuration dialog.

Now, your GTM is successfully connected to Waitwhile! You can manage and deploy tags such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other tracking scripts directly through GTM.

Adding Tags to Your Google Tag Manager Account

Once your GTM is linked to Waitwhile, you can begin adding tracking tags to your GTM container, such as:

  • Google Analytics: Track user behavior and visits on your Waitwhile public pages.

  • Google Ads: Monitor conversions and measure the effectiveness of your advertising campaigns.

For detailed instructions on adding tags, visit GTM's extensive support documentation.

Verifying Your Tags with Google Tag Assistant

To ensure your tags are functioning properly on your Waitwhile public pages, consider installing the Google Tag Assistant browser extension. This tool will help verify that all tags within your GTM container are firing correctly, giving you confidence that your tracking setup is working as expected.

Note: If you don’t have a GTM account yet, check out this article on how to create and set up Google Tag Manager for your Waitwhile account. It provides a step-by-step guide for getting started with GTM.

Adding Google Ads Conversion Tracking to Waitwhile

Waitwhile also supports direct integration with Google Ads conversion tracking. However, if you plan to use both Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, we recommend adding Google Ads tracking within GTM for a streamlined setup.

How to Enable Google Ads Conversion Tracking in Waitwhile:

  1. Access Google Ads Settings

    • Go to Settings > Integrations and select Google Ads Conversion.

  2. Enable Conversion Tracking

    • Toggle the option to enable conversion tracking for your account.

  3. Enter Your Conversion ID and Label

    • Input your Google Ads Conversion ID and Conversion Label.

    • Click Save to apply the settings.

Now, your Google Ads conversions will be tracked directly within Waitwhile. If you’re using GTM make sure to configure Google Ads within your GTM account to avoid duplication.
