The Customer ID input field in Waitwhile is a versatile feature that allows businesses to assign unique identifiers to their customers, helping to streamline operations and improve service. It serves as a reference point for tracking and managing customer interactions more efficiently across visits, bookings, or queues.
What is the Customer ID Input Field?
The Customer ID field is used to store an external unique identifier for each customer. This could be a membership number, loyalty card ID, student ID, or any other identifier relevant to your business operations.
Note: This Customer ID is different from your Waitwhile Customer ID which is used to link a customer across multiple locations or visits
If your business has multiple locations, the Waitwhile Customer ID allows you to track customer history across branches.
The Waitwhile Customer ID ensures that staff can recognize repeat customers quickly and access past records, like booking history or special preferences.
Key Use Cases for Customer ID:
Managing Memberships or Loyalty Programs
For businesses with loyalty programs, the Customer ID can represent a customer’s membership number.
You can use it to track points or rewards and provide personalized service based on membership tier or status.
Automating Processes with API Integration
If your business uses external systems, such as a CRM or ERP platform, the Customer ID can serve as a link between Waitwhile and other software.
By integrating Waitwhile with your CRM through its API, Customer ID ensures consistency and synchronization of customer data across platforms.
Enhancing Customer Security and Privacy
In businesses where sensitive customer data is involved (like healthcare or education), assigning a Customer ID adds an extra layer of security by keeping personal details private while still tracking interactions.
