Effective communication with customers is key to providing a smooth booking experience. Waitwhile allows you to configure automated messages to confirm bookings, send reminders, and follow up after appointments. Follow these steps to set up and customize your customer messages.
Step 1: Access the message settings
Log in to your Waitwhile account.
Navigate to Settings > Customer messages.
Step 2: Enable the delivery method
Locate the Booking Messages. Us the filter if needed.
Select the template you want to enable, such as:
Booking Confirmation
Appointment Reminder
Follow-up Message
Click on a template and select edit
Click the Enabled checkbox for email or SMS (SMS tab)
Step 3: Customize the message template
Edit the default message to one of your liking that fits your business needs.
Personalize the message by using the customers name and provide important details such as the service, location, and time of appointment using variable placeholders
Trigger different message text for different scenarios using conditional logic
For example: customize the message depending on the service the customer selects:{% if service == "Carwash" %}
Your car wash will take about 30 min
{% elsif service == "Wax" %}
Your waxing will take about 60 min
{% else %}
Your service will take 15-30 min.
{% endif %}
Step 4: Create multi-language templates
Waitwhile allows you to customize your messages in multiple languages to accommodate your diverse customer base. With the platform’s localization settings, you can create message templates in various languages and have them automatically sent based on the customer’s preferred language.
Step 5: Test and save
Click Save to activate your settings.
Add yourself as a test booking to test your message.
Make final adjustments as needed.
