[New Settings] How to configure the Serving display

Configuration options to customize the Serving display in your lobby, waiting area, or service center.

Waitwhile offers several public display options to help businesses manage customer queues and enhance the customer experience. These displays provide real-time information to customers about their place in line, estimated wait times, and important updates.


The Serving display

The Serving Display is perfect for businesses want to show the name or ticket number of the customers currently being served. Customers can be directed to a specific resource such as a counter, window, or staff member reducing confusion and improving the flow in the service area.

Configure the information you want to display

Go to Location settings > Customer Journey > Public displays. to see the full list of configurations for your Waitlist display.

Customer identifier: Select how customers will be identified on the waitlist

Additional customer details: Choose additional details to display on your waitlist

Note: The following settings do not appear on the serving display:

  • Show time waited

  • Show estimate wait time

Page Options:

  • Show total number of people waiting: Enable this configuration if you want to show the total number of parties being served.

Note: The following settings do not appear on the serving display:

  • Join Waitlist button

  • Include in waitlist overview

  • Play sound when alerted

  • Show current estimated wait time

Warning: The waitlist & serving displays currently have shared configurations and settings will overlap. Proper testing and review is recommended before going live.
