Geofencing in Waitwhile allows you to define a virtual perimeter for specific locations. This feature, using GPS, allows you to prevent your customers from joining your waitlist until they are closer to your location.

Enable geofence for waitlist

1. Access Location Settings

  • Log in to your Waitwhile account.

  • Navigate to Settings > Customer Journey > Waitlist.

2. Enable Geofencing

  • Under General, select Geofence

  • Enable geofence, by checking the box and additional configurations will expand

3. Define the Geofence Boundary

  • Add an Address: Make sure the proper address is listed at the top in the blue information box.

  • Set latitude and longitude coordinates for a more specific location.

  • Set the Radius: Define how far the virtual boundary extends from the central location (e.g., 50 feet, 100 meters, etc.).

    • The radius determines how close a customer needs to be to trigger geofence and allow the customer to register.

Enable geofencing for Bookings

You can also enable geofencing for Bookings in a similar way.

  • Log in to your Waitwhile account.

  • Navigate to Settings > Customer Journey > Bookings.

  • Follow step 2 and 3 from above.
