What are locations and how can they be used

Locations in Waitwhile represent the physical or virtual sites where your customers interact with your services. Each location acts as an independent hub, enabling you to manage queues, bookings, services, and customer interactions tailored to that specific site.

Types of Locations

Physical Locations

Businesses that own and operate multiple locations where customers can visit in person to browse and purchase products or services. Each of your physical locations can be a location in Waitwhile.

Examples:

  • Brick & Mortar stores

  • Restaurant chains

  • Government offices

Note: You can also use Waitwhile for virtual locations, but depending on how your business operates, you may need to have one location or multiple locations.

Queues

Business that have multiple areas where a line can form. This could be departments, individual offices, or specialty areas. Typically, each of these lines operate independently from each other (even though they are in the physical location).

Examples:

  • Retail: Curbside pickup, returns & exchanges, personal shopping appointments, design centers

  • Medical Offices: Doctors office, laboratory, pharmacy, member services

  • Restaurants: Dine-in & carry-out

  • Events: different booths or experiences

Note: Each location can include its own unique set of rules, customizations, and messages templates, and users.
