Steps needed to submit a request and verification to send SMS from a dedicated phone number

Do I need a dedicated phone number?

All verified Waitwhile accounts are provided with the capability to send and receive SMS messages without a dedicated phone number. Dedicated phone numbers are mostly used to utilize our Text-to-Join feature but can also be used for other features, such as an Alpha Sender ID.

In order to be able to use a dedicated phone number for a Waitwhile location, you will need to follow the following instructions to submit a request to Waitwhile through our Support Team, either via live chat or by sending an email with the requested information to support@waitwhile.com.

Required details to request a dedicated phone number

Business information

Please provide the following information to submit a verification request to our team.

  1. Business name:

  2. Business website:

  3. Business street address:

  4. Business city:

  5. Business state, province or region:

  6. Postal code:

  7. Country:

  8. Name of a business contact person:

  9. Email of a business contact person:

  10. Phone of a business contact person:

  11. Estimated monthly message quantity volume
    โ€‹For example: if you anticipate having 1,000 visits per month and sending an average of 3 SMS messages per customer visit then you would calculate that you would send approx. 3,000 Messages per month

Customers must opt-in

A opt-in customer input field is required by our SMS provider in order for a verified number to be provided. This opt-in field can be added through the Customer details section of your Location settings.

Explanation of request:

Provide a brief explanation as to why you are requested a dedicated line for one or more of your locations. The more details that you can provide the faster we can follow up on your request.

Note: Dedicated phone numbers are only available on the Business & Enterprise plans.
