Let customers reply to messages with keywords to update their status automatically.

With our powerful reply triggers feature, you can let your guests share their status by just replying to messages with a single word.

Guests can text back to Waitwhile with any of our trigger words to flag themselves as a certain status. This gives you the ability to define your customer flow, making it easy to know exactly where everyone is in the process.

Overview of reply triggers

Below is an overview of the trigger words we support by default:

Cancel

This will cancel the visit for the guest and remove them from the waitlist. It will add the Cancelled tag to the visit.

Confirm

"confirm"

"confirmed"

This will confirm the visit for the guest and add the Confirmed tag to the visit.

Note: This does not work if the visit is cancelled, completed, or in the past.

Arrived

"arrive"

"arrived"

"here"

"ready"

This will mark the guest as arrived by adding the Arrived tag to the visit.

Note: This does not work if the visit is cancelled, completed, or in the past.

Delayed

This will mark the guest as delayed by adding the Delayed tag to the visit.

Note: This does not work if the visit is cancelled, completed, or in the past.

Block

"stop"

This adds the guest's phone number to a list that will no longer receive SMS messages from Waitwhile.

Unblock

"start"

"unstop"

"unblock"

This allows the guest to continue to receive messages from Waitwhile again if they were previously blocked.

This will send your guest a list of available trigger words to use when communicating with you.
