Setting your business hours in Waitwhile ensures your availability is reflected for both appointments and waitlist operations.
Tip to avoid availability issues: make sure that the General hours encompass all the other hours. Neither the Waitlist hours, nor the Booking hours should start earlier or end later than the Location's General hours.
Steps to Set Location Hours:
Log in to Waitwhile and navigate to the Location Settings
Select Location details and under Opening Hours, click Edit weekly hours to set up the hours for each day of the week.
You can set your General, Booking, and Waitlist opening hours for every day of the week. You can set certain days of the week to be closed and even create breaks during the day where your business will not be open (e.g. lunch).
When you add multiple time blocks to a specific day, each additional block will automatically be 1 hour long and begin 1 hour after the previous block ends. However, you have the ability to adjust both the start and end times for each block as needed.
You can establish separate hours for your Bookings & Waitlist or you can have them be the same as your general hours.
Click Save to confirm the changes.
How to set detailed opening hours by date
You can also set special hours for holidays or events. These will override your regular hours when needed.
Log in to Waitwhile and navigate to the Location Settings
Click Edit hours by date
Click on the + Add date button to add a new date and pick a date by clicking on the calendar button in the date's box
You can add individual dates or you can set up special hours for a time frame of several days, weeks or months. To add special opening hours for a specific time frame, click on the Add end date button and select the last day of your time frame.
When you add an end date, you will also have the option to set up repeat hours for the different weeks of your time frame. For example if your time frame is 8 weeks long, you can set different hours for the first two weeks and have them repeat for the remaining 6 weeks of your chosen time frame.
Click Save to confirm the changes.
Tip for Events: If you are only intending on using your Waitlist or Bookings for a specific range of dates, you can set your Opening Hours as Closed
and use the Set Hours by Date function to set your Waitlist or Bookings as Open
.
For more advanced options, you can also set your Service hours & Resource hours in the same way.
By keeping your hours up to date, customers can see when you’re available for appointments or joining the waitlist.
