Waitwhile's new Apple Wallet integration allows your customers to add their booking information as digital passes to their Apple Wallet. This feature enhances the customer experience by providing easy access to booking details directly from their iOS devices.

Enabling Apple Wallet for bookings

  1. Find the toggle Allow customers to add booking to Apple Wallet

  2. Enable the toggle to add the "Add to Apple Wallet" button to emails and booking confirmation pages

Where customers will see the Apple Wallet button

Once enabled, the "Add to Apple Wallet" button will appear in the following emails:

  • Booking requested

  • Booking confirmed

  • Booking reminder

  • Booking alerted

  • Booking served

  • Booking rescheduled

The button will also appear on the booking confirmation page.

In both cases, the "Add to Apple Wallet" button will be displayed in the language(s) that you use for your registration flow.

Pass features and functionality

Once added, passes can be accessed from the lock screen or by double-tapping the lock button, opening the Apple Wallet on the iPhone.

The Wallet pass also comes with the ability to appear on the iPhone's lock screen, reminding the customer about the upcoming appointment. These notifications appear based on either the proximity to business location or the time proximity to the appointment.

Any information on the pass displays in the user's device language and time/date format.

Pass design and customization

The Apple Wallet pass inherits styling from your public registration flow design settings, set from Location settings > Custom design > Theming:

  • Pass card color: Matches your content card background

  • Font color: Matches your text color

  • Banner image: Uses your background image

  • Logo: Uses your Location logo or Public logo (Location logo takes priority)

  • Title: Uses Location display name or Location name (Display name takes priority)

Current limitations

  • "Add to Apple Wallet" is currently only available for iOS devices (Apple Wallet) - Support for Android devices coming soon

  • Only available for bookings

  • No Wallet-specific customizations available

  • No support for custom push notifications
